We may not notice how we harm others on a daily basis. The harm we inflict can be silent (thoughts), verbal, or, sadly, even physical. As your awareness of the principle of Ahimsa rises your ability to tap into others and their wounds will help you soften how you approach others. Not to say you will lose your own strength, but your need to protect yourself will lessen with the heightening of your unwillingness to hurt others. When you study Ahimsa, you will being to truly understand that hurting others is always, ultimately, hurting yourself.
