Sunday, March 21, 3-5pm, $40.00

Both days for only $70.00 by March 10.

William Duprey, ERYT 500, is an initiate of Sri Dharma Mittra and teaches Hatha Yoga. His first yoga teachers were Jonathan Fields and Lauren Hanna at Sonic Yoga in New York, NY. In 2003, he graduated from their 200-hr Teacher Training Program and began teaching at Sonic. Shortly thereafter, he began studying with Dharma Mittra, who was the first main independent Yoga teacher on the East Coast. .

Will moved to Los Angeles, CA. in 2003, where he began to study aspects of the Siddha medical system and philosophy.

This two-part workshop will explore a deeper understanding of the physical body and the relationship to the mental, subtle and casual bodies through the use of hatha [and raja] yoga techniques.

The first workshop will explore a deeper understanding of Prana and the uses in asana, Pranayama, Bandha and Mudra. This workshop will include asana (physical postures), bandha and mudras (energy in the body), and pranayama as practices to help promote better states of physical and mental health. Utilizing theory and practice, students will learn how to set up an invigorating and healing routine. This workshop is recommended for students with an on-going yoga practice or those interested or already teaching.

The second day will focus on making the link between Hatha (bodily mastery) and Raja (mental mastery) Yoga in the physical practice. This style of practice is designed to bring students into a deeper awareness of their bodies and assist them in moving beyond habits that may be limiting their yoga practice. Experience an invigorating and mindful flow that incorporates longer holds in specific postures to challenge students on both a mental and physical level. This workshop is appropriate for intermediate students.
By use of this two-day practice a better state of physical and mental health is promoted; purifying, strengthening and bringing harmony to the body and mind.
